RESIDENTIAL ENERGY AUDITS
Georgia Power customers receive a $200 rebate for having an energy audit performed on their home by Green Summit Consulting. Documentation necessary for the rebate is provided to each customer. Typically, customers receive their rebate check in the mail from Georgia Power approximately 3-4 weeks after audit.

In addition to the rebate for an energy audit, Georgia Power also offers its customers an additional $1700 for implemeting certain energy efficiency upgrades identified during the energy audit. Click

Federal Tax Incentives
For homeowners wishing to make their current residence more energy efficient, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 helps make that possible. The tax credit is limited to $1,500 for the combined energy efficiency improvements. Qualified products receive a federal tax credit of 30% of their cost, up to the $1,500 limit. These systems must be placed in service between January 1, 2009 and Dec 31, 2010. Click
