Instead of guessing the causes of your problems, our Building Performance Institute certified auditors use diagnostic equipment for testing. Rather than focusing on a single component, such as single-pane windows or old HVAC equipment, a ‘whole house approach’ is undertaken to determine recommendations for heating and cooling equipment, insulation, air infiltration, windows, doors, and lighting.
It truly is a holistic approach to creating a more energy efficient and healthier environment. When implemented, these improvements lower utility bills, reduce drafts, control temperatures, and improve indoor air quality (dust, humidity, etc.).
Each comprehensive assessment includes an interior and exterior visual inspection and diagnostic analysis using the tools mentioned above as outlined by EPA guidelines. A list of prioritized improvements is provided in an easy to understand report that is typically 15-20 pages in length.
Our full scope energy audit should not be confused with free, low-cost, or low-tech assessments which are available from many sources. Because our only business is providing our clients with a roadmap to energy efficiency, you can trust us to provide unbiased and credible information. We do not implement any of the recommendations we make to our clients. After the improvements are completed, we can verify the work was performed correctly and provides the desired results.
